Sifting in search of Censis I found on the Italian population in a given 2050 (I would say a precise projection):

Comparing those born in the five years from 1975 al 1980, with those born in the five years from 2005 al 2010, and, is projected to all 2050, it turns out that the older population will be significantly higher than young.

This says the demographic trend.

Then it is certainly positive as we read in the survey – "The Italians and Savings", made by ACRI. and Ipsos, ^ 86 and presented at World Savings Day held on 28 Oct. us.: "The number of Italians who manage to save is constant over the past year amounting to 36%" same percentage as in 2009 ".

This means: little more than a third of Italians, the greater part of which resides in the North.

If we then see the destination of those savings, more and more families choose the first of liquidity (current accounts, savings accounts and traditional life policies) and then the "brick" (home ownership, cottage and garage).

The latter fact is important, because the Italian families are proving able to diversify, especially in a time, in the short term liquid instruments (the ready availability) and long-term real estate (legacy for their children, the new generation)

In closing, I feel like saying: if this is the trend of asset management, in relation to the population above, in 2050 we will have more and more elderly homeowners (Some estimates say that we are already over the 75%) with plenty of liquidity.

But beware of inflation and loss of income for not "looked" to the financial markets, we are all poor homeowners?
