It was held last 31 October 90° World Savings Day.
The argument edition 2014 was "The European Banking Union Savings".
In Italy, is organized annually by ACRI, the association representing collectively the banking foundations and savings banks SpA. (these in the past as presents, piggy banks to schoolchildren).

On this occasion,, were presented the results of a new poll, carried out at a representative sample of the adult Italian population (ACRI performs such monitoring for fourteen years), in collaboration with Ipsos, through telephone interviews.
We see the results:
The 46% of Italians do not live quiet if not put aside savings.
Only 8% prefer to enjoy life without thinking about saving
The 61% has seen a decrease in its reserves of money
The 33% the Italian states that in the last twelve months have been able to save (an increase of four percentage points from 2013).
But the years of crisis have reduced the cash reserves, Indeed, a family of four (the 25% an increase over the 2013) says he will not be able to cope with an unexpected expense equal to 1000 euro with own resources.
If the unexpected expense was higher, for example 10000 €, could cope with his own powers a little more than a family of three, an increase over the 2013.
Synthesizing, the tension of Italian savings and their concern about the possibility of saving in the future give the effect of growth in the number of those who have managed to save (passed by 29% al 33%) and the decrease of households in negative balance of savings.
