Lo development of the so-called "sustainable economy" is one of the main political objectives, cheap and social issues of all the countries of the European Union (EU).
“The Directive (EU) n. 2023/1791 on energy efficiency, which will have to be implemented by EU countries by October 11th 2025, tip within the 2030 – also providing for the introduction of specific measures incentives – to an 11.7% reduction in energy consumption at European level compared to objectives set in 2020. Individual EU states will contribute to achieving this goal collective by setting national contributions, determined on the basis of an indicative calculation formula contained in the same directive.“
This can be read in theABI intervention at the Third Round Table "Policies and recommendations" which involves the participation of the main institutional subjects, representatives of ministries and authorities interested in issues relating to energy efficiency in buildings, as well as representatives of national and international trade associations.
In this scenario, Improving the energy efficiency of buildings is a key factor. By 2030 it is estimated that they will have to be renovated 15% of properties in energy class F and G. The average calculated expense starts from 20 thousand euros. But going up two energy classes will save money 40% on the bill.
“End user awareness of the importance of investing in energy efficiency (with respect to issues such as reducing one's own environmental footprint, containment of the energy bill, of increasing the value and quality of your property) it is currently considered scarce. The difficulty of moving from the awareness phase to the action phase also weighs heavily“
The project GREENROAD aims to facilitate the mobilization of investments for the energy requalification of the Italian real estate assets, through the creation of national round tables and territorial focus groups where public and private stakeholders, national and local can compare and identify the most suitable solutions to meet the needs of the market.
