I spent the evening in the library Margaroli in Verbania, to talk about pensions, Welfare and work with Walter Passerini, who presented his latest editorial, by Title “Without Pensions”.
Interviewed by Laura Piazzi, radio host of Radio 2, Passerini has entertained the public on issues of increasing importance for all ages.
The problem brought up is that, a large slice of Italian workers today, you'll end up with a pension equal to 50% last salary.
Mostly temporary workers and underpaid (often hidden behind lots of collaboration fictitious contracts and tax).
Between the information provided, the paradox: 4 atypical workers and millions of immigrants who pay about 10 billion annually in social security funds, to pay the pensions of those who have had a continuous and well-paid career.
According to the author, a solution is to bring in younger people and women in the labor, under employment contracts “seri”.
I really liked the idea that the worker should be free to retire, a “fork” between the ages of 62 and the 70 years, with varying degrees of incentives / disincentives, depending on when, “voluntarily” chooses to close his career.
The book not only does not scare, but it gives all the information that is often unspoken elsewhere.
