Account of my participation in the exhibition of Savings 2012

The first meeting I attended was organized by the Uni (Italian National Unification) – Financial Education and Community Welfare - Protect the city, enhance counseling.

The roundtable, moderated by Dr. Lensi Uni, began with the intervention Councillor Milan Pierfrancesco Majorino which tackled the theme of commitment of government in promoting economic and social development and citizens', and announced that it will be ready in a few weeks a memorandum of understanding with which we will launch a financial education program, on the basis of the Uni, that after the summer will start a trial for citizens, from the employees of the City.

Dr. Sergio Sorgi, Vice President of PROGeTICA argued the need to help people understand what to do, what they need based on the financial condition or stage in life where you are. The idea is to offer support to people's lives at a time when the crisis "Burning the Future".

Dr. Lensi has highlighted the importance of the Uni, that give confidence and security and contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens; noted the presence, in the context of financial advice and financial education, specific rules (22222/2008, 11402/2011, etc.) giving content to the matter.

They were presented with the Dr. Gaetano Megale, President of PROGeTICA.
The UNI 11402 and’ in the concept of 'community welfare’ whose purpose and’ to create a system of financial education that will help you plan, prevent and exploit opportunities, creating a life plan satisfactory.
The standard tip to the four basic strategic skills:

1. the ability to manage their own economic choices;
2. the ability to schedule the;
3. the ability to understand where, when, how and why ask for help;
4 .dexterity in making wise choices and conscious.

Professor Rosina spoke of the expected results of community welfare and financial education stating that it will be important to assess whether the skills are actually reported and, in practice, beneficiaries have thus been able to make choices that improve their economic well-being.

The second meeting I attended was the conference on the theme of Brown Publisher Social media, Pop and finance forum. The conference was moderated by Lionello Cadorin, Director of F Magazine.

Interventions have followed scholars and industry experts.

Nicholas Casnici, young PhD in Economic Sociology, University of Brescia, focused on the concept of popular finance, supported by the rapid increase in the use of the Web 2.0 (correlation between the development of securities and the "chatter" on the net) and the consequent evolution of the concept of mediation. It is regarded as a re-modulated by brokerage relationship with a user no longer targeted by the information (surplus informativo) but not necessarily more informed, therefore in need of an experienced guide fell in the context of social networks (financial education).

Flaminio Squazzoni, Professor of Sociology of the University of Brescia, pointed out the various interventions, assuming the building of synergies between the different, on both the scientific research of the daily experience of companies with customers. This metaphor: "Internet is the nervous system of the human body".

Lastly Matthew Tagliaferri, Head of Brand and Communication presso Anima SGR, and Mark Marazia, Director of Sales Trading Webank, showed how their companies are pursuing strategies of "customer management 2.0" and focus on multi-channel user behavior on the Net, meeting their demands in the places that daily attend (site, forum, youtube and chat online with direct contributions from customers). For Webank has been highlighted: "I want the bank" page of the site that listens to customer suggestions.

Third and last meeting I attended was organized by the Solidarity FeBaf and Upter, promoters of financial education: “€ Do not never too late"Vicecaporedattore and moderated by the Sun 24 Hours, Paul Zucca.

The project started from Lazio, Solidarity Upter being a "rib" Popular University of Rome, but destined, as the President of Solidarity Upter, Lawyer Miniati, to spread in the country, just starting from Lombardy.

The elderly often struggle to overcome the meaning of terms that are part of everyday life, as the "spread" , the "consignment", the "health insurance", as stated by the Secretary-General Enrico Granata, rather than the performance of a "common fund". Terms that, if they are not immediately including, create barriers, threatening to establish itself as a semantically negative connotations, only because of the difficulty to understand fully the meaning.

In my brief intervention, introducing myself as a professor of financial education for the University of the Third Age, I praised the initiative, augurandone development in all regions of the country, with emphasis, encouraged by some interventions in the classroom by elderly participants, that not all financial / insurance products are suited to the over 65.
