I work in financial education for some years, both through my blog Economiafamiliare.it, either through my courses for Associations, University of the Third Age, Local Authorities, Citizens in general, etc..
But what is meant for Financial Education?
Here below the OECD definition (Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development), which tells us that:
"Financial education is the process by which consumers / investors improve their understanding of financial products and financial concepts and, through information, education and objective advice (also known as generic), develop the skills and confidence needed to become more aware of financial risks and opportunities, to make informed choices, understand who to ask for support and implement other effective actions to improve their financial well-being ".
In our country, the slow pace of policy with drafts of decrees that sleep in the drawers of some parliamentary committees, unlike other countries, has not yet generated a law governing financial education.
Despite this, in Italy there are many actors active in the field.
In fact, next to the Institutional Bodies (Banca d'Italia, Ivass, etc.) who care for them through their channels, For example, we find Antonio Cajelli (http://www.antoniocajelli.it/) and Massimo Melpignano (http://www.studiomelpignano.eu/it/) (Sdebitiamoci! For an ecology of everyday shopping), that with the "Tool Theatre" go around Italy involving the participants on financial matters during their show "Ugly as the debt", or as the schools who along with Patti Chiari Consortium involves students of all levels in the affairs of the economic / financial (Financial education in school. For a conscious citizenship
).
And yet local authorities such as the City of Milan, through social policies, involves citizens in a process of financial awareness developed ad hoc ((http://www.comune.milano.it/dseserver/webcity/comunicati.nsf/d68aa3e55927f9f7c1256c4500573452/42d2c68cf521e5d5c1257b030054c11a/$FILE/13 Italy's Azione 01 26 44 Executive summary UTENTI OK.pdf“).
Citizens not only have to choose, to your liking, the way most useful to your pocket……..not to have them empty!
