The ABI Executive Committee (Italian Banking Association) approved unanimously, the Protocol "Prevention measures, contrast and containment of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the banking sector”Shared by ABI with Fabi, First-Cisl, Fisac-Cgil, Uilca and Unisin the 16 March 2020, that – in light of the provisions of the Dpcm 11 March 2020 with regard to the continuation of banking services – contains the measures that must be respected to operate while protecting the safety of workers / workers and customers.
We read in the press release: “in addition to the plans underway to reduce the operation of physical networks related to the health emergency, the banks undertake to take all appropriate measures to limit access to branches by customers only in cases of urgent transactions that cannot be carried out through remote channels and ATMs that offer very wide operations, so as to be able to further and drastically reduce the presence of colleagues and colleagues within them and reduce the risk of contagion. At the same time, the staff present - in compliance with all health and hygiene requirements – will ensure customers are provided with essential services that cannot be satisfied through "remote" channels and ATMs, also through the careful management of the related physical access to the branch”.
But the ABI Executive Committee itself, in addition to what has been done by the institutions, renews the strong invitation addressed to all citizens to contribute to the maximum in the fight against the coronavirus avoiding the risk of contagion, using channels that do not require physical presence for banking operations – available from home via computer and telephone – as well as ATMs outside the branches.

Even the individual Banks in recent days have turned to their customers to invite them, in case of mandatory needs that require you to go to the branch, to call first to receive all the necessary support and possibly proceed with the visit to the branch by appointment.
The 24 March ABI, Fabi, First-Cisl, Fisac-Cgil, Uilca, Unisin, with the signing of a further document they agreed the priority attention is given to guaranteeing health and safety conditions for all people.
