
A 700 years after the death of the great poet Dante (1321-2021), throughout the 2021 in our country there have been several institutional events to remember him.
The Bank of Italy also celebrated the seventh centenary of his death.
He did it with one virtual exhibition on your website to enhance the volumes of and on Dante kept at the Paolo Baffi Library.
The exhibition is divided into two sections.
The first section is dedicated to the valuable volumes present in the aforementioned library. Consult the Bibliography of Dante's works owned by the Baffi Library or Click here to access the volume records in the Library's online catalogue.
The second section is dedicated to some reading paths on Dante. One of which is dedicated to the works with which the great poet warns against greed for money and material goods, considered one of the main causes of the decline of society. Dante 2021: to see the stars again
The Dante Alighieri Society, was founded in1889 by a group of intellectuals led by Giosue Carducci and erected as a non-profit organization with R. Decree of 18 July 1893, n. 347, has the purpose of«protect and spread the Italian language and culture throughout the world, reviving the spiritual ties of compatriots abroad with the mother country and fostering love and worship for Italian civilization among foreigners".
