In fact, IlComputer Emergency Response Team of AgID has identified one new phishing campaign that fraudulently uses the AgID name and logo to steal SPID usernames and passwords and other identity documents from users. The message pushes the user to click on a link that takes you to the fake agidgov site[.]com, asking you to upload your credentials and a video for the recognition procedure.
Paid SPID
But the novelty of 2025 is that the Spid risks becoming paid for for all citizens starting from next July. And that's why, now, public funding is still blocked from 40 million euros foreseen by a decree of 2023 and intended for operators who provide the digital identity system for the PA's online services.
Aruba and Infocert they are the two providers that have already started to make citizens pay the annual fee from the second year onwards as the cost of renewing the personal SPID.
