“IIn economics, assets are defined as wealth, expressed in monetary terms, available to a subject at a given moment. From a qualitative point of view it is made up of goods (buildings, vehicles, mobile, goods etc.); from a quantitative point of view, instead, it is the sum of the monetary values attributed to these goods.” – Wikipedia.
For older Italians the night between is well imprinted in their minds 9 and 10 July 1992, when the Prime Minister is in office Giuliano Amato, with a decree-law he implemented a forced withdrawal of 0,6% on the current accounts of Italians.
In the lasts 30 years with each change of Government (from 1994 with the current incumbent – Draghi government – it happened 17 volte) comes back to peep out the ghost of a wealth tax.
But how many people know that property taxes are already paid on some assets?? Let's see some of them:
Your own automobile, which we find cited in the aforementioned definition is burdened from the annual obligation to pay the stamp duty as a tax on the property thereof.
Your own accumulated capital stock on the current account, but also in a savings account – if greater than 5 thousand euros – is subject to stamp duty (tax) of 34,2 euro per year.
Their own money invested in bonds, shares and other financial investments – if they exceed 5 thousand euros – are burdened by a tax of 0.2 per year.
The list goes on with taxes on homes and other assets.
On the patrimonial topic:
the vice president of Confindustria Emanuele Orsini recently declared in a hearing in the Chamber: “The point is not to introduce one, but how to reorganize them 17 that we already have"
What we can therefore expect is more of a tightening of what already exists. Economists talk about the prospect of an increase in taxation in general linked to the stock of Italian public debt which shows no signs of decreasing.
