When it was fashionable in the country to talk about federalism I wrote a titled post on the subjectRC Auto and Fiscal Federalism.
In practice, as a result of the "Fiscal federalism"the provinces with ordinary statute could vary the insurance tax RC Auto to the maximum extent of 3,5% increase or decrease compared to that of the 12,5% Award.

But this year there could be something new.
In fact, in House Finance Committee the possibility of eliminate the provincial tax on car liability. The question for immediate response was presented by the Honorable Member Francesco Saverio Borrelli al Minister of Economy and Finance.
One was mentioned in the proposal Study of 2019 created by the Insurance Supervisory Body (IVASS) which analyzed the fiscal and parafiscal components present in the insurance of RC Auto and examined their transfer, equal revenue, from the policy premium to fuel consumption.
From the written response, published in the attachment to the bulletin in Finance Commission, it is understood that further evaluations will need to be carried out to understand whether it is achievable as part of a more general reform of the Italian tax system.
